Economic Considerations

With rapidly increasing demand, governments and the mining industry will face a series of economic challenges to provide a steady supply of global resources in a fiscally-prudent manner. As global reserves become impacted by EV battery demand, the price of key materials will likely increase, and capital expenditures will be necessary to ensure sufficient production capacity. National and, to a lesser extent, sub-national policies will be critically-important in determining whether sufficient supply is available and whether the cost of materials has a demonstrable impact on EV pricing to consumers.
